Breastfeeding provides health benefits for both babies and moms.
These books offer helpful guidance covering everything from pregnancy and birth to breastfeeding techniques and toddler nursing.
We encourage families to choose a pediatrician who understands and supports exclusive breastfeeding, especially during the first 4-6 months, which is linked to important health benefits and lower rates of childhood obesity.

For latch concerns, milk-supply questions, or general breastfeeding help, the WIC breastfeeding team offers classes and personalized support.
Offers classes in breastfeeding, natural childbirth, infant massage, and more.

Not true! Early tenderness is normal, but pain means you need support from a lactation consultant.
Yes you can! Your body can supply enough milk.
Breast milk contains antibodies and hormones that formula can't replicate.
Most moms can produce more than enough breastmilk. Help is available if supply concerns arise.
Breastfeeding in Public
Florida law protects your right to breastfeed anywhere you are legally allowed to be, regardless of nipple coverage. (Florida Statute 383.015)
Pumping at Work
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child for one year after childbirth. Employers must also provide a place to pump at work. (PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act)
U.S. Breastfeeding Committee (USBC)
A national coalition working to improve laws, policies, and community support to reduce breastfeeding barriers. https://www.usbreastfeeding.org/
