The Collier Conty Sheriff's Office launched the Autism Support Project (ASP) due to a growing number of students diagnosed with autism in Collier County Schools.
The program focuses on three key areas:
The Autism Support Project provides window decals for vehicle and homes to help first responders and community members identify when someone with autism may be present. The decals serve as a visual cue that the individual inside might not respond to verbal commands, promoting safer and more informed interactions during emergencies.
For more information or to obtain your window/door decals, contact the Autism Support Project at (239) 252-9986 or email autism@colliersheriff.org
The NCH Safe & Healthy Children's Coalition advocates for inclusive water safety programs through targeted resources, community outreach, and collaboration with families and educators to reduce drowning risks and promote confident, safe experiences for every child.
Disaster can strike at any time - sometimes without warning. It is important for every Floridian, especially citizens with disabilities and other special needs, to plan ahead for an emergency situation and know what to do in the event of an emergency.
C.A.R.E. is a program established by the Collier County Sheriff's Office to assist citizens that have special needs. This voluntary program offers many positive, proactive measures to provide the best services to our citizens. There is no fee required to participate.
